Does strenuous activities, like jumping, affect the nose structure/manipulate it, or does it just cause more swelling?

Hi from Istanbul! Those activities won't interfere with the shape of your nose, but in the early postoperative period, they can frequently cause bleeding. I recommend avoiding heavy workouts for 6 weeks following your surgery, unless they are extremely important to you. Hope this helps.

As long as you don't break your nose, the worst thing that could happen with excessive activity in the early phases after rhinoplasty is a nosebleed. Hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

We do not recommend vigorous workouts for patients who had rhinoplasty surgery less than 3 months ago. Mild exercise such as jogging, and biking are allowed after the surgery.

Increased activity shortly after rhinoplasty caused temporary swelling so I advise patients to just take it easy for about three weeks after rhinoplasty

There’s no yes, or no answer to your question. A lot depends on exactly what was done during the procedure, and the timeframe and what you referred to as a strenuous activity. Any activity that directly puts pressure on your nose should be avoided. If you have specific questions regarding specific activities, then I suggest you ask your provider.
