One nostril has scar tissue 6 months after rhinoplasty. What is this? (Photo)

I recently had a rhinoplasty about 6 months ago I am not noticing one nostril has either scar tissue or skin I’m not sure what this could be but it’s making it difficult to breath out of that side and I hate looking at the inside of my nose. Also noticing nostril getting wider.

Additionally, the base view of the nose is the least important. And the base of the nose holds on to swelling for the longest period, sometimes a year or longer. If you were having nasal obstruction six months after rhinoplasty, you should discuss this with your surgeon so you could be examined and evaluated. Hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

If you have a concern after your rhinoplasty operation open, just to follow up with your plastic surgeon and have him or her examine you and give you an update on what’s going on. You Need a proper international examination which requires a proper light and speculum.
If you’re not getting the care, you need from your current provider, then schedule an in person second opinion consultation.
We can’t really help you because we can’t see inside your nose.
