Chin implant, genioplasty or chin/jaw fillers? (Photo)

As far as a chin augmentation, fillers would only get you so far. Plus you have to constantly keep getting them touched up. Chin implants are good for some people, but I agree that you could benefit from a genioplasty. Not only would this balance your profile, making your nose appear smaller, it would tighten the skin and create a more defined jawline (helping with the jowling). You could also look into buccal fat removal and jawline contouring to assist with the early jowling as well.

If you are concerned with the fullness under your neck, then trust your doctor. I'd do facetite for you but would also recommend a chin implant. That will help to reduce that fullness most powerfully. The chin implant can be done in the office, through your mouth, without significant down time.

Whether you should have chin augmentation should be determined by what you think looks best by computer imaging. If you see it as desirable there are advantages and disadvantages with either an implant or sliding genioplasty to achieve it....which you yet do not know. The same applies to rhinoplasty, perioral mound reduction and managing the jowling.

You have a mild weak chin profile, and placement of a small chin implant can accomplish bringing your chin forward for better facial balance and proportions from the side profile. Placement of a chin implant takes approximately 30 minutes under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure. A sliding genioplasty is performed by an oral surgeon under general anesthesia in a hospital setting with an overnight stay at the hospital, and is much more invasive. That procedure is usually performed when the teeth are significantly out of alignment. The noninvasive skin skin tightening procedures are not needed when you're in your mid 20s

My recommendation is to have proper consultations with properly qualified providers. I suggest starting with oral surgeons or plastic surgeons with cranial facial surgery backgrounds. Consultations should be done in person and should ideally include an examination and x-rays.

Simply augmenting your chin will worse in your labelemental angle.

Get a thorough understanding of the complex relationship between your mandible and your maxilla including all the treatment options from the most definitive to the simplest.

You can then decide for yourself how far do you want to go with this.

Without addressing your dental occlusion properly simply augmenting your chin is going to have a limited result.
