Thank you for your inquiry! A facelift will absolutely decrease facial laxity. I recommend scheduling a consult appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon like myself so we can assess your face, make sure you're a great candidate for this procedure, listen to your goals, and create a surgical plan that is best for you and your goals!
I believe that based on these pictures alone...yes! As long as you are healthy with no significant medical problems and no nicotine/tobacco use.
Hello and thank you for your question. From what I can tell based on the pictures you have provided, there is some minimal jowling present on your right side only, little excess lower face & neck skin, and no platysmal banding present in your neck. Based on that, you could make an argument for or against getting a facelift at this time- you could certainly hold off a little if you'd like. That said, it is difficult to provide tentative surgical recommendations, as there is only so much information to be gained from the two photos you have provided. I recommend for you to come see me or another plastic surgeon for a formal consultation to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate all your options (surgical and nonsurgical), and decide on the best procedure(s) for your specific case. I hope this helps!Best wishes, Dr. Donald Groves Plastic Surgeon
Dear ariana,Thanks for your question. It is difficult to assess the entire area since the lower face is cut off in the photos. Based on the photos, there does not appear to be significant skin excess, which would require a facelift or neck lift. You may be a candidate for minimally invasive skin tightening procedures such as morpheus8, facetite, renuvion, j-plasma or others. I would suggest a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon for further information and recommendations.
Hello,Thank you for your question. Based on your photos, you may consider focusing on less invasive options like facetite or morpheus8. I have performed mini-facelift's on others your age and the result can often be what people are looking for if the less invasive options don't help adequately. Mini facelift can be done wide awake using local anesthesia and oral medications to help you relax. Patients do incredibly well with this and it avoids the side effects of general anesthesia.Mark G. Thank you for providing photos. Unfortunately your lower third of face and neck need to be present in photos to assure candidacy or not. From the facial features that I can see, it appears that you are potentially too early for a facelift.
You could have a facelift but it will make minimal difference because you are too young. I would advise against it
Hello, hope you are well. Based on your photos, it's hard to form a complete judgement because we cannot see your complete jawline, submental area, or neck (the lower face in question). But based on what is visible, you may want to consider a non-surgical option called bipolar radiofrequency skin tightening (brand name FaceTite/NeckTite) along with radiofrequency microneedling (Morpheus8). These are energy-based devices that are used to tighten the skin in relatively mild cases with minimal jowling. It is the most powerful option short of surgery. It can be performed in the office with minimal down time and without scars and potential risks of surgery. Best,Dr. Tower
I would suggest doing noninvasive micro-needling with radiofrequency for skin tightening and better collagen stimulation for now.
There is no "correct" age to have a facelift. Everyone ages at a different rate. You should consider a limited variation of a facelift when what youu see in the mirror does not match what you feel on the inside, when you have a support structure in place to facilitate a comfortable recovery, and when you are confident you are doing this for yourself and not to please others. If you are not physically or emotionally ready for a facelift, there are non-invasive and less-invasive procedures to rejuvenate your face such as supervised skin care, chemical peels, temporary injectable fillers or lon-lasting micro-fat grafts, skin-tightening procedures, and Dysport or Botox. They do have their place in the appropriate patient but do not produce the same long lasting natural appearance that is can be achieved with a natural appearing artistically performed facelift by an expert experienced plastic surgeon.Keep in mind, that following the exact advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you what to do or not to do based on seeing 2 dimensional photos and without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of the proposed operative procedure may not be in your best interest. I would suggest you find a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the Aesythetic Society that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person.Robert Singer, MD FACS La Jolla, California
Hello @wunderluxe, thank you for your question. To make an informed recommendation. More information is needed. A consultation is vital to establishing a surgical plan that meets your needs, meets your expectations, and takes into account what is possible. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. ...
Based on the photos, I would answer "No". However, you will probably find a Surgeon who will do it, so be careful. Surgery without indications is risk without benefit.
You did not post photos, but yes, the whole half of your face could be different from the other half. Detailed X-rays could be done to see what options you may have if you wish to improve your bone structure.
