I suffered from birth trauma as my mum's umbilical cord was wrapped round my neck, resulting in several asymmetries and my previous surgeon botched the procedure. Now, I have a tilted nose and find in hard to breathe, a slanted chin, severe cheek and jaw asymmetry and a lot of loose skin and excess fat such that it comes in between my teeth when I bite. Wanted to do facelift and fat removal, cheek and jaw implants, genioplasty and septoplasty. How many procedures/sittings needed. Thank you
Answer: Facelift, genioplasty, septoplasty, a cheek and jaw implants Based on the concerns you mentioned, it appears that you may benefit from a combination of procedures. A facelift can help address loose skin and excess fat in the face and neck area. Fat removal procedures, such as liposuction, may be considered to improve facial contours and reduce excess fat. Cheek and jaw implants can be used to enhance symmetry and balance in those areas. Genioplasty, or chin surgery, can address chin asymmetry and improve facial harmony. Septoplasty can correct a deviated septum and improve nasal breathing. The specific number of procedures and sittings required will depend on the complexity of your case, your desired outcomes, and the surgeon's treatment plan. It's important to have a detailed consultation with a skilled and experienced surgeon who can assess your facial anatomy, discuss your concerns and goals, and provide you with a personalized treatment plan. During the consultation, your surgeon will also discuss the recovery process, potential risks and complications, and any other important details related to the procedures. They can give you a clearer understanding of the timeline and the number of sittings needed based on your specific needs. Each individual's situation is unique, and treatment plans can vary. Seeking a consultation with a qualified medical professional will provide you with the most accurate information and guidance regarding your specific case. I hope this helps, best of luck !

Answer: I would not recommend it Hello and thank you for your question. Generally, your risk for complications increases after your surgery length exceeds 4.5-5 hours. Although there are exceptions, it takes most surgeons longer than that amount of time to perform all the many procedures you have listed. Therefore, it is possible to do all these procedures together during one surgery, but given the unnecessarily increased risk for complications in these elective procedures, I would not recommend it. The safer option would be to stage these into 2 or more likely 3 separate surgeries to shorten the operative time for each surgery. It would make sense to perform the facelift and implants in the same surgery, given the wide exposure the facelift would provide to enable access for the implant placement. Genioplasty procedures are typically pretty involved, so I would not do this at the same time as the facelift or the nosejob (unless by septoplasty, you truly mean just resecting a deviated portion of septal cartilage and nothing else- though it seems you need a more involved full septorhinoplasty based on your description). Hope this helps! Best, Dr. Donald Groves Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Surgery You will need to go in for consultation, be examined, and discuss what realistically can be done per procedure. You did not post photos, so I cannot be specific.

Answer: Facelift and multi procedures I would not recommend multiple other procedures if you are having a full face /neck lift and the anaesthetic time for that is more than 6 hours. Factors such as surgeon and team fatigue are important as well as focusing on your recovery from a long procedure

Answer: Its possible It is harder to give you a definitive answer without any photos to go on, but it is possible to do everything at once. We would start with the genioplasty and implants first, then the facelift last. You potentially may not need the facelift after that because those procedures would tighten the skin and create more contour. Same goes for the fat removal; you may not need it. This is one of those things that we may not know until we reach that point in the surgery (Unsure of your age but that is a factor). As for the nose, it sounds like you may need a rhinoplasty and septoplasty. We might recommend doing that separately because it is a more delicate procedure, but that depends on your current anatomy. Because of the amount of procedures being done, this would have to be done under full anesthesia. We would be happy to schedule a virtual or in-person consultation to discuss options further!

Answer: Facial surgery Those are a lot of things to have done all at once. The surgery could be lengthy and also there could be airway issues having surgery on the nose and jaw at the same time. Cheek and jaw implants I have found particularly useless and troublesome
