Is it possible to get facial implants and a face lift in one procedure?

Question

I have significant asymmetry in my face due to birth trauma from the umbilical chord. Moreover, I have a lot of loose skin on my face. Was wondering if I could get bespoke facial implants (mandible and cheek) and have a face lift and buccal fat removal in the same procedure

Hello and thank you for your question. I also answered your other similar question from 9/18/23. Generally, your risk for complications increases after your surgery length exceeds 4.5-5 hours. For the specific procedures you have listed, it is possible to do all these procedures together during one surgery. It makes sense to perform the facelift and facial implants in the same surgery, given that the wide exposure provided by the facelift would provide access for the implant placement. The buccal fat pad removal could be performed quickly during the same operation as well. Hope this helps!

This is indeed possible and not commonly done as most surgeons prefer nano or microfat grafting over facial implants and it is less risky at the same time as a face/neck surgery

You can. A facelift can be an excellent time to place facial implants, and also it is easy to remove buccal fat during when doing a facelift.

Thank you for your question.  Of course you need an examination and opinion by an experienced board-certified plastic surgeon who utilizes facial implants in their practice.

That said it is not uncommon to utilize facial implants during facelift surgery, most commonly chin implants.  Plastic surgeons who are comfortable using facial implants most likely can advise you properly for your particular case.

Be aware however that the more procedures that you undergo in one setting the more risk of complications occurs.
