I lost 10lbs in the last 6 months due to stress. You can also see this weight loss on my face. I’m considering Restylane for my nasolabial folds. I am afraid that my nasolabial folds will look more stretched out when I gain my weight back since this weight will also be reflected on my face. Would this be the case? Will gaining weight have an effect on how my nasolabial folds look after Restylane?

Answer: Weight change and fillers If you were planning to lose more weight I might suggest reaching your ideal goal before getting fillers as further weight loss might cause you to need more fillers. However, I do not worry about weight gain. first of all, just because you gain weight back, does not mean will go to same place lost, secondly, if you gain back in face you will look even better. Filler will not stretch skin or cause any problem with weight gain

Answer: Treating nasolabial folds with filler Hyaluronic acid based fillers can certainly help with volume loss in the face. HA fillers tend to last 9-12 months. Since you intend to gain some of the weight back, the temporary improvement from HA fillers should be optimal.
