I've always been self conscious about the way my lower face looked but it became even more apparent recently when somebody took a video of me. From the side, my jawline is not defined at all especially when I smile. I feel like my chin just turns into my neck. From the front, one side of my jaw bulges more than the other. Also one side of my lips is higher than the other and from the side view my upper lip is very saggy and turned under. Is there anything I can do to fix these problems?
Answer: Asymmetric facial features Your asymmetries are well within normal variation from side to side, but there are several things that could be improved overall in the jawline and chin region. You may want to consult with several surgeons to get their take on how to improve your appearance.

Answer: Uneven Lower Face Remedies Dear Curiousgirl28,Your question involves a discussion of the jawline, chin and lips but you are correct to post this in RealSelf's lip section because lips are the first thing that most people notice about women.Yes, there are many things you can do to remedy your concerns. I suggest you schedule a consultation with a board certified facial plastic surgeon to ensure you have the best experience available on the market. Your options include injectable fillers, which are repeated about once a year and are an ideal procedure for adding volume to thin lips. For more permanent options, consider direct lip lift, a subnasal lip lift and corner lip lift which can all be performed in conjunction with a facelift, forehead/brow lift, laser resurfacing, rhinoplasty, and with facial implants should you choose to address your other concerns at the same time.Sincerely, Ross A. Answer: Asymmetry Your look great and everyone has some asymmetry to their face. Both sides of your face are not twins but sisters and it is normal to have differences on both sides of the face. Your best treatment would be a preventative skin regimine. I recommend a healthy lifestyle: a diet high in fruits, vegetables, nuts, legumes and fish; eight to ten hours of sleep nightly; limiting alcohol intake other than the occasional glass of red wine; and regular exercise. An important step for all skin types is sun protection including the use of daily sunscreen, sun hats and sunglasses, all of which help prevent aging and sunburns. When it comes to rejuvenating and prevention treatments, a combination of treatments are available including cosmeceuticals (skin care products including ZO® Skin Health or ZO® Medical, Skinceuticals® or Glo-Minerals®), neurotoxins (Botox®, Xeomin®), dermal fillers (Restylane®, Juvederm®, Esthelis®, Belotero®, Emervel®, Radiesse®), and skin resurfacing procedures (advanced laser resurfacing or OBAGI® controlled depth chemical peel). These are advanced techniques so be sure to get an experienced dermatologist or plastic surgeon consultation for recommendations and treatment options.

Answer: Asymmetry Everyone has some degree of asymmetry in their faces. Although the asymmetry seen in the limited photos are subtle, there are several options to make subtle changes to achieve more symmetry which can make a big difference in the overall appearance. Please consult with a board certified specialist who can assist you with achieving the results you seek. I think you would also benefit from a 3-dimensional analysis and computer imaging to help you visualize what you may look like afterwards and to serve as an important communication tool with your face specialist.
