Is it true that Asian people have worse FUE scars?

Everyone heals differently.  It isn't always related to race or ethnicity.  Some Asians do fine with #2 guard some may not.  This is true for Caucasians as well.  Asians have BLACK hair on FAIR skin so this contrast may stand out more.

The donor density of Asians is 20% less than Caucasians so when FUE is performed, there is less hair present to cover the scars. That means that most Asians will see the  moth-eaten scars more profoundly.

FUE scars and FUT scars are not worse in Asians than Caucasians. Diet plays a role in scar formation. The size and appearance of an FUT scar depends mostly on the skill of the surgeon removing the donor tissue. Most individuals with FUE cannot wear their hair at a #2 and not see scarring. Remember, there is no such thing as a scar-less hair transplant, but the scars in the experienced hands can be minimal.
