Do I have to get two teeth pulled after they cracked after root canals?

I got two root canals about a year & a half ago, maybe two years ago & never got crowns on either of the teeth. Now both teeth have cracked in half. Is my only option at this point to get these teeth pulled?

Hello and thank you for your question. The best way to answer this is with an in-person evaluation. You may need to have the teeth extracted and receive dental implants. There are many benefits to dental implants in that they function exactly like a natural tooth, and they don’t impact surrounding teeth. I recommend getting a consultation with your Dentist or consult with a Prosthodontist. I would say most likely the only option would be to extract them. This option would depend on how far the cracks go. Sometimes they can be saved with a crown but if it involves the root then you may be looking at having them taken out.
