I have just had 6 new crowns done on my front teeth. The gum line is uneven because the size of the teeth go from long to short in the one side and different in the other side. So the gum line looks uneven. I have never seen it done like this before. I have a big smile and it shows every time I smile

Hi:
It’s best wait at least 3-4 months before replacing the crown. There needs to be X-ray and clinical testing of the tooth before making the final decision.

Depending on the size of the chip and the type of retainer they most likely will still fit. However, once the chip is repaired make sure to bring the retainer with you to the dentist so they can make sure it fits. If not the retainer may need to be remade.
