Uneven gum line with new front teeth crowns (Photo)

When having cosmetic dentistry performed it is important to asses the gumline first.  The gumline gives the tooth its size, shape, and character.  The gumline can be altered through either a gum lift or gum replacement if need be.  Once the gumline is even and symmetrical, the crowns or veneers can be placed.  In this case, the gumline can be still be corrected but one or more of the crowns will likely need to be replaced.

The uneven gumline should have been addressed before the crowns were done.I suggest meeting with your dentist to discuss your options. These restorations are meant to last a long time so if you are unhappy I would bring it up.
