Dr. Mahallati gave me back my smile and self confidence. I had a tooth extracted in my pre-teen years. Over time my smile had shifted to one side and had a crooked smile for most of my life (I am in my 50's now). I have always been very self-conscious and never smiled or covered my mouth every time I smiled. Graduation picture from high school, not smiling; college graduation pictures, not smiling; wedding pictures, not smiling and the list goes on .... Over the years I had seen many dentist and had tried various procedures trying to improve my smile. About 15 years ago I had a full mouth reconstruction done to take care of some old broken caps and fillings and was supposed to correct my crocked smile as well. The fillings and old caps were replaced but my crooked smile remained. I felt some how I had wasted all that money! Couple years ago I was referred to Dr. Mahallati by couple of friends who had some cosmetic work done by him. They always raved about his talents and their teeth looked amazing so I decided to give it a shot. I knew I was in an office of a different caliber from the moment I walked in. You get the feel that this Dr. and his staff care about their work from the perfection of the space and attention to every detail. The front desk staff were super friendly yet professional and helpful. During my examination Dr. was very patient listening to all my concerns and then had the most comprehensive dental examination I had ever had in my life. Again attention to detail was obvious. During that same visits he made molds of my teeth and some other records he needed, X-rays and some photographs. I was asked to come back at a later date to review all this information and his proposal for correcting my smile. The second appointment was a little over an hour. He presented me with couple of different plans. Discussed each one extensively and educated me about the process. He also spent a lot of time listening to my wants. I have to say he is excellent communicator and listens. I also met his lab technician. They have a very impressive lab onsite where they actually make the teeth. Dr. Mahallati really took the time to understand all my concerns and addressed all my questions till I was comfortable and understood the way forward. I had a long treatment that required couple of sets of temporaries. With each temporary set we got closer to my dream smile! :) Dr. Mahallati was very patient, he listened and made revisions to my temporaries till I was completely happy with the outcome. When I was in the office I felt like I had his undivided attention. He never left the room to see another patient, I was never left sitting there waiting. Often times he would call his technician to the room to show him how he wanted things or discuss color or shape of the tooth with him. I found having his own laboratory and technician in the office allowed him to really get the perfect results he had promised me. After so many years I finally have got the smile I had always wanted. I am forever grateful to him and cannot even imagine ever allowing anyone else to touch my teeth. His fees are not exactly the cheapest but considering the amount of time he spends with his patients and the results, it is well worth it.
After experience with many dentists across all of Los Angeles, I’ve concluded Dr. Mahallati and his office is the best choice. My dental restoration case was successfully treated by here and he is now my general dentist performing regular check-ups and preventative work. I express my deepest gratitude to the doctor, as well as his staff, for the detailed and exhaustive efforts they took in treating my complex dental case. His knowledge, skills, communication, and diligence ultimately achieved such a great result that it has me smiling all the time. -My Case: I had a complicated case due to a childhood traumatic accident. It required planning and coordination with other doctors as well many steps towards completion. I had seen many dentists throughout Los Angeles and Dr. Mahallati was ultimately the one that was able to take the lead to achieve a successful restoration. He helped get me through the very distressful time and made me feel secure that I was set on the right path. -The Office: The office is very nice; modern, comfortable, newly renovated, new equipment, friendly staff. The office feels more like a cozy café with its office design as opposed to the kind of cold intimidation I use to feel in dental chairs when I was growing up. Office location is convenient and I always find easy free parking in the nearby streets. -Communication: The doctor took the time to listen to my needs and patiently would answer my many questions with clear explanations. I was always informed of my options and felt that I was given an honest assessment. All along the treatment process, I felt comfortable voicing what I liked or disliked, and the doctor was very responsive to the feedback. I had a compulsion of near perfection and felt having a good communication played an important role to achieving my desired results. The doctor’s personable personality made it more conducive to having that kind of dynamic. -Rates: I suppose there are higher and lower priced options out there, but price shopping would be at the risk of quality. I prefer Dr. Mahallati’s office because I know I’m getting the best care and not gambling with my dental aesthetics, health, or longevity. As limited as my financial means are, I justify going out of my dental insurance network and also doing a long drive from home and work because I value my teeth highly and prioritize quality of dental care before anything else. -Results: I often get compliments for my smile now and have been told it’s my best feature. I could not emphasize enough how important your smile is to quality of your life. It has been a life changing experience. I have enjoyed the perfect smile restoration for the past 3yrs so far and have not looked back since.
