How soon can I go into surgery once done with antibiotics?

Question

I was due for a lipo and bbl tmw the 21st, but was postponed since I contracted a yeast infection. My OBGYN prescribed me Metronidazole 500mg for 7 days twice a day currently on day 6, Macrobid 100mg twice a day for 5 day currently on day 1, and Fluconazole 150mg single. So my question is how soon after I'm done taking my antibiotics can I go into surgery? Also, should I start taking vitamins once I'm done with my antibiotics? I stopped 2 weeks ago since it was required due to surgery. Any advice?

Even minor infections can severely increase the risks of complications during and after surgery. Because of this, most surgeons will wait to perform surgery until after an infection resolves. Your OBGYN will be able to tell you when your infections have resolved.
You will need to ask the plastic surgeon who will be performing your procedures. In my practice, no specific vitamins are recommended. If your lab work indicates that your hemoglobin levels are low, you may need to take iron. I recommend that my patients stop taking Vitamin E the week prior to surgery to prevent bleeding problems. Before and after surgery I recommend a diet high in protein to assist in healing.

you should have no infections prior to surgery. Every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

Your OB/GYN is in charge of managing your yeast infection and your plastic surgeon is the one to make decisions of when you are ready for surgery.

Your plastic surgeon is also the one who is making decisions about your vitamins so please check with your plastic surgeon.
