I've had these banana rolls under my butt even when I was at my skinniest. Is there anyway at all to get rid of them whether it be exercise, lipo, cool sculpting etc? If so, how much would a procedure like that cost? I am currently on a weight loss journey but like I said, they were still there when I was 10 lb lighter. I just want a more defined under butt line!
Answer: Buttock Lift -- Fat Grafting/Renuva, RF Tightening (Thermage, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra, Inmode Forma/Contoura), Sculptra microliposuction with internal heating can do well here but aggressive liposuction will leave you more sagging. often we are doing a spiral lift, or a modified inner thigh buttock lift with hidden scars to really improve this area (see link). Sculptra with the right dilution doesn't cause nodules in the buttock and is very safe. It should be combined with RF treatments to get the sculptra to work even better/stimulate it to produce collagen such as venus legacy / exilis ultra / thermage / inmode forma or contoura. We often will add bellafill or renuva to certain areas to improve indentations or the buttock roll to get more definition and softening or to improve overall size and shape. Smooth novathreads do very well to improve laxity of the buttock as well non surgically. Just know that sculptra takes numerous treatments and vials, its a large expense and must be maintained at least 2 times a year after a series of treatments for the best result. Dr. Emer.

Answer: Liposuction candidate Dear Mojoford, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, banana rolls can be a difficult area for treatment. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Lipo Hello, thanks for your question and photos. You have several non-invasive options like Coolsculting and laser treatments. Besides, you may consider a solution as Liposculpture to extract the fat and shaping your legs. Consult a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area. Best of luck!

Answer: Don’t treat the banana roll The banana roll is a skinfold that forms in a standing position. If you lean over slightly you’ll see that they go away. The skin on the upper back of your thigh is Todd when you’re leaning forward with your hips fully flexed. It is contracted or folded up in a standing position just like your lower abdomen folds in a sitting position. If you remove fat to compensate for the skin fold you will have a fat deficit that will look disfigured. Liposuction of this area not only fails to treat the problem but leaves people disfigured all too many times. On top of this inner thigh Liposuction is prone to contour irregularities if not done by someone who is extremely talented. If that was the correct treatment it would be a skin excision but this is not recommended and believe it or visible scar that you probably would not care for. As much as you may not like the banana roll I think you would dislike the outcome after liposuction far worse. The fact that they persisted even at a lower weight is confirmation that these are a skinfold and not related to subcutaneous fat. Best, Mats Hagstrom
