I had a consult with a surgeon and he recommended multiple sizes with the largest being 565cc. I am stuck between 505cc, 535cc or 565cc high profile implants. I want a very full very augmented appearance. I am 5'5, 130 lbs and a A34 cup bra. I am looking for a dramatic increase in size and like the large "done" look. I am thinking too much and concerned about rippling and complications. Do you think 565cc is too large? Any opinions/suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

Answer: Breast implants Thank you for your question. The breast, which is mainly composed of skin, adipose tissue and mammary gland, is fixed to the rib cage by the resistance of the skin and suspensory ligaments. If suspensory ligaments are loose and skin tension is low, a breast may sag regardless of its size. Even breasts with small volume may sag due to loosening of the skin and suspensory ligaments due to births and breastfeeding. At the same time, even though it is large, a breast with strong skin structure and ligaments might not sag. As a result, the characteristics and structure of each breast differ from one another.

Answer: Stuck between three implant sizes and wondering if 565cc is too big? This question cannot be accurately answered without the benefit of an in person physical examination. If pressed for an opinion I will begin with the fact that a 30 cc difference will not make a prominent change in the overall appearance. Thus, if you find all 3 sizes acceptable, I would suggest using the 535cc. It will not look substantially different from either the 505cc or 565cc implants.

Answer: Choosing the right size and profile breast implants for you After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author.
