Hello thank you for your recent question ! Some of the fullness and hardness you are feeling in your abdomen could be left over swelling. However with that said it is hard to give that exact answer with out seeing you in person. If you have any concerns I would recommend you contact your surgeon to be seen in person. Best of luck!
Dear vvrhodes1,I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
The tight feeling is a natural part of the healing process. Depending upon the extensiveness of muscle and skin tightening, it could take months for all the tightness to resolve. If you are concerned, follow up with your PS.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. You are still on the healing process, it can take up to 6 months to see your final results, swelling and tightness is normal so i recommend to be patient. If you have any concerns, i suggest you follow up close with your plastic surgeon.Good luck :)
This is not unusual and it can take 6-12 months for everything to settle. Always best if you have any concerns to see your PS for advice.
For many TT cases, it can take up to 12-18 months for the swelling to fully resolve and the lower abdomen and belly button to gain its final shape/size/position. My best advice is to continue to follow your surgeon's advice and attend your scheduled follow-ups, and let time be your ally. Best wishes during your recovery!Daniel Brown, MD, FACSBoard Certified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic SurgeonsMember American Society of Plastic SurgeonsCastle Connolly Top DocReal Self Top 500
Thank you for your question. Depending on the surgery you had and if liposuction was performed at the same time as your tummy tuck, you may experience prolonged swelling and persistent tightness. The tissue may also feel hard for up to 3-6 months if extensive liposuction was performed. I would recommend contacting your plastic surgeon who performed the procedure to voice any concerns. You may also benefit from an in office evaluation to get a more accurate diagnosis. I hope this helps and good luck.
One word answer = "no" I would recommend you followup with your surgeon to check and see the best topical application. You should not need much dressing weeks out from surgery, so you may be able to modify your treatment of the surgical site. Best of luck!
I always drain them, its easy and usually painless because the skin is numb. Talk to your surgeon and let him know it bothers you. It takes less than one minute. Good luck, Jane
Thanks for your inquiry, ultimately you need to run it by your plastic surgeon to make sure. Good luck with surgery and hope for a speedy recovery.
Thanks for your inquiry, I suggest you discuss your goals with your cardiologist and make sure he/she is comfortable with proceeding to have elective surgery, best of luck.
You should be able to obtain a good result from a Fleur De Li Tummy Tuck approach. Your incision will be up the midline all the way and along the bottom of your abdomen. A lot of vertical and horizontal skin laxity will be removed this way. Be aware that it is a larger operation then a st...
