I'm talking about months later. I have school and work and Im required to be seated for many hours. Can all that sitting down affect the fat throughout the years? I really want to get this procedure done but I don't want to be paranoid forever about my butt getting flat.

Answer: Brazilian Butt Lift Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Brazilian Butt Lift! Following the procedure, the patient will need to allow at least 2 weeks for full recovery. Patients should not sit for prolonged periods of time for the first 2 weeks after surgery; typically, the patient can return to strenuous activities 3-6 weeks following surgery. The results will be long lasting, and possibly permanent but the patient should maintain a consistent weight, exercise regularly and keep a healthy diet to help ensure that the procedure has the best possible results over time. It is best to follow post-operative instructions as presented by your surgeon. Best wishes!

Answer: Sitting on a Brazilian We don't have good science in regards to the impact on putting pressure or movement on areas after fat transfer. We do know that in order for grafted tissues to survive they need to reestablish a blood supply within the first 10 days. friction between the grafted particles of fat and the surrounding live tissue can disrupt to ingrowth of capillaries into the grafted tissue. This process is called neovascularization and happens between the first few days and the first few weeks. once a blood supply has been established into the grafted tissue they cannot be altered by movement or pressure. I typically ask patients 12 void direct pressure or excessive movement for three weeks after the procedure. This is especially important between the third and 10th day .Best,Mats Hagstrom M.D.
