Estimated cost for post op meds with no insurance? Any insurance companies that cover post op meds or post op complications?

Generally speaking,  insurance will cover medications prescribed by your plastic surgeon. 

The costs of routine medications for a Brazilian butt lift can vary due to the actual medications your doctor may prescribe, but typically should run in the $100 to $200 range.   If you go to a large discount pharmacy, such as Walmart or Walgreens, often you can get a better price.  If you have a health plan that covers prescription medications, you plan should cover these medications even though they will not cover the cost of the BBL surgery. If an insured patient has a complication associated with a BBL or any cosmetic surgery, in most cases, they will cover the costs of a complication such as need for admission to a hospital for bleeding or infection.  However, health insurance will not cover costs for cosmetic surgical revisions.  Check with your insurer, prior to your procedure, to see what their policy covers in this regard.  Best wishes, Dr. Lepore.
