Sharp pain in leg after lipo (4 weeks post)

Question

I had leg lipo 4 weeks ago, most of the bruising is gone, I'm still sore though. I'm mostly concerned about this stabbing, piecing, stinging, sharp pain in the back of my right leg. It hurts without touching it, but when I press on it, it feels like a piercing, hot, pain shoots through my leg. Is this normal at the 4 week mark? If this is normal nerve repair, when should this resolve? Thanks

Pain can be variable for patients who have had liposuction. If necessary, this pain can be treated with anti-inflammatory medications and neurontin. If it persists, I recommend following up with your Doctor. It can take 3-6 months for final results with liposuction. I suggest lymphatic massage, hyperbaric oxygen, and RF treatments like venus legacy to help reduce any swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. It actually takes the body up to one year to heal after lipo. During the healing process the symptoms you describe are completely normal. You should see your PS asap to make sure all is good.

You may have a nerve pain but the most concerning issue about leg pain is the possibility of thrombophlebitis or blood clot in leg.  It is important to see your doctor today.   My Best,   Dr Commons
