Sculptra: Is the volume growth proportion to sculptra injected? Or our body can only grow a certain amount each time.

Question

For example, if I injectt 1 vial on single side of temple area each session, will the collagen really going to grow proportionally. Or, it will only grow certain amount of volume regardless how many vials we injected? I am 36 years old, I already 4 sessions, 5 vial total. I do see results but not enough, I am thinking to inject 3 vials each session from now on. But concerned about the body doesn’t response to the extra sculptra and it just goes to waste. Thank you in advance.

Hello,The more vials you add, the more crystals are deposited, the more collagen is created to encapsulate the crystals. More vials, more growth. However, growth is dependent on each individual person. As a rule, most people contemplating Sculptra fear overgrowth. Reality is they don't get enough growth. If you have had 4 sessions and only used 5 vials, you are vastly under using the product. Most people who get a good response get at least 2 vials per session, and many use 4 vials per session. Remember, Sculptra is expensive! Best of luck!

Hi Nic.  Because Sculptra is diluted with saline, we wouldn't use an unlimited amount of Sculptra at one visit.  The number of vials we use at each visit is typically between 1-3 depending on how many areas we are treating and what sort of facial volume needs the patient has.  We have never injected more than three at any one office visit, but you may be the exception.  Photos would help to determine that.  
Theoretically, the larger the number of vials used, the more correction you should get.

Thank you for your questions. In general, the response should be somewhat related to the amount injected. However, there is some response that is dependent on your body to produce in terms of volume of collagen and this can vary and be impossible to predict. Collagen growth will vary and some people need more than one treatment to get desired results with Sculptra. Sculptra is a great product for improving facial volume and collagen building, but for best results, I recommend using it in a combination depending on desired results. I combine Sculptra with other fillers, lasers, toxins and skin care to give immediate results. See an expert. Thanks for your question. Generally speaking, the results of Sculptra are based on how much is injected. The more vials placed the more volume the body creates in terms of collagen volume. Speak with your injector/physician about your concerns and don't forget it takes time for your body to make collagen.
