Can Sculptra be used on the buttocks to fill in small imperfections such as flatness around a dimple? (Photo)

Based on your picture, it looks like you could be a great candidate for Sculptra® to provide a smoother look and feel. Keep in mind that Sculptra® won't add the dramatic volume that a Brazilian butt lift can, but it seems like you're just looking for a subtle improvement in the smoothness of your buttocks area, which can be achieved really nicely with Sculptra®. be used to smooth out wrinkled skin and/or to give moderate volume to
the buttocks. Using Sculptra in the buttocks is an advanced
procedure, so if this is what you'd like to do please invest time in
finding the most qualified dermatologist to help you. The Sculptra
must be diluted and carefully placed to get a good result.

Sculptra
works by stimulating the skin to produce its own new collagen, so it
will take about 4 to 6 weeks before you see results. You can also use
Cellfina, which actually cuts the fibrous bands that cause dimples in
the buttocks and thighs. Both of these treatments can also be
combined, depending on patient need. Please find a board-certified
dermatologist to have your dimples evaluated to find out which
treatments would most benefit you. 

Yes, Sculptra can help fill in buttock imperfections.  These imperfections are often due to cellulite.  Cellulite is treated in 3 ways.  Cut the bands pulling the skin in causing a dimple.  I prefer using Cellulaze but there are many methods.  Second, thicken the skin so the imperfections are not as visible. This can be done with both laser treamtents such as Cellulaze but also with Sculptra as it will cause dermal thickening when injected close to the dermis.  Third way to treat cellulite is to fill in the valleys.  Again, Sculptra when injected deep into the fat layer will add volume filling in the dimple. 

Yes. Sculptra can be used for this issue off-label. I have used it  mostly for facial rejuvenation, but also on the arms, thighs, chest, and buttocks. It works nicely for cellulite and some post-liposuction contour problems. 

Yes, Sculptra can be used to improve imperfections in the buttocks. It may take a series of vials to get improvement. See an expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer

Dear mrs m24,Sculptra can be used on the buttocks and it is usually used for patients with dimples after a BBL procedure. It can provide more lift and smoothness but it will not significantly enhance the volume of buttocks. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS

Thank you for your question. What you are describing is a Sculptra Buttocks Enhancement and treatment of cellulite. Sculptra can be used for both of these indications. I like to combine Sculptra with Cellfina for the treatment of cellulite. The Cellfina releases the fibers that are causing dimples and the Sculptra can be used to fill and strengthen the collagen tissue in the area being treated. Be sure to seek out an experienced Sculptra injector as the results can be very long lasting (2 or more years). We have been getting very nice results using anywhere from 10 to 40 vials over 1 to 3 sessions. I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.

Thank you for your question and for submitting your photo.  Sculptra is an excellent option for correcting small imperfections and dimples in the buttocks.  Sculptra works with your own skin to create new collagen over the course of several weeks after a treatment.  Please keep in mind that it can take 6-8 weeks to see initial results after Sculptra injections, and that it may take up to 3 sessions for best results.  Please consider scheduling a consultation with a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns.  Best of luck!

I think Sculptra is an excellent choice for this problem. I have used Cellfina and believe this is a better solution for full correction. Cellfina doesn't always get to full correction. Sculptra might require up to 3 sessions, but when corrected, should lead to at least 5 years of improvement.
