I recently heard that tattoos may cause issues if the same area is liposuctioned. I have a back piece and want to get a BBL procedure which would include liposuction on my back. A doctor indicated that they would have to be very careful and not as aggressive on my tattooed area. Is this true?

Answer: Liposuction Tattoo color is placed in the deep dermis of the skin. Liposuction is performed in the area much farther below the dermis. Therefore liposuction should not directly affect the tattoo. Your skin my tighten after the surgery and therefore the tattoo will adjust with your skin. Hope this helps!
