Love handles after tummy tuck. How can I remove love handles? (photos)

How can I remove those love handles ! They are huge they pop out of the skirt they are bothering me I have no tummy but got no waste too .. would lipo help remove it !? If so how much would it cost!! And anyways I can make the scar less noticeable!!

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you would benefit from liposuction. Hi and thanks for your question. Generally liposuction is performed with tummy tuck surgery to decrease the belt size and to prevent the dog ear formation. For your case liposuction can be done for your abdomen , flanks and lower back side. With  method your belt size can be decreased. Your scar also can be revised after liposuction because after abdominal lipo , you will have slightly excess skin so this excess skin can reduce tension on your scar and it causes better healing. Dog ears can be removed with liposuction also. I think these combination can solve your problem and you can gain hour glass appearance.

Skin laxity does not magically end with the TT in many patients. The love handles can be liposuctioned while blending the liposuction into the abdomen to prevent irregularity and give you a waist line. After your incisions healed, you could have used silicone sheets, Mederma, and Biocorneum to make scarring less noticeable. The biggest determinant of how a patient’s scars will heal is their DNA and how they have healed in the past. Although scars will never disappear, they will fade over a period of time.

Scars need aerify, enlighten, or Cosmelan peels post surgery. Vivatia foam, Restorsea 10x, skinceuticals phyto +, Cosmelan 2 cream, and reve skin fortified bleaching cream all help.  Scars can be punch out and removed in the office.

no medical insurance covers keloid removal. you have a chance of recurrence with surgical removal but lasers can help reduce the look.

the love handles arent really love handles they are skin that you can use trusculpt or coolsculpting on. this is more your body shape than anything but more liposuction could there are many options for hypertrophic/red/discolored scars:
1. vascular lasers (yellow laser, vbeam, excel v)
2. fractional lasers (fraxel, erbium, co2)
3. microneedling/PRP
4. silicone based scar gels with growth factors
5. excision +/- radiation

With a properly made 360 liposuction, it is possible to get rid of your love handles within few hours. You can have this surgery 6 months after the tummy tuck surgery. I recommend that you wait at least 1 year for the scars.

Dog ears form when the tampering of skin excision is not done in a gradual manner.

It is primarily a skin condition that is best treated by further in the scar onto the sides. For those who have a lot of fat in the area they are you can also be improved with Liposuction or sometimes a combination of skin excision and fat removal either by direct excision or liposuction.

Scars take 12 to 18 months to mature and the best thing to do for scars is silicone sheeting and give them sufficient amounts of time.

Scars can sometimes itch.  scratching scars can make them many times worse.

I suggest you follow up with your plastic surgeon and ask him or her to address your concerns.

Liposuction as a treatment for dog ears may be very reasonable without extending your scar especially considering how visible your scar is.

It can be done only of the dog gear or more comprehensive approach can be taken to improve your entire backside to match the improvements on the front from your tummy tuck.

In other words you could opt to just have liposuction of the dog gear or treat all of your love handles waist  and back.

The cost of this will depend on where you’re located, the experience of the surgeon and if it’s done in a formal operating room or as an office-based procedure.

It could be anywhere from free(if done by your surgeon) to $10,000+ for a comprehensive Liposuction procedure.
