Is Rhinoplasty okay after being off of Accutane for 3 months?

I know it is recommended to wait at least 6 months after acutane treatment to get a rhino done. I have read some say wait 1 month and some don't wait at all. I am 3 months post treatment. My skin is not oily but my scalp has been oily again for about a month. Does this mean my skin is back to normal? Am ok to get a rhino? I am 5 days away from surgery and have already paid for bloodwork and physicals. I would hate for the money to be thrown away due to rescheduling surgery for 3 more months.

It appears to be a residual hump after a rhinoplasty.  You can give a few more months specially if swelling is still present.  A rasping procedure to reduce this residual bony/cartilaginous hump would be indicated if it does not improve.

Thank you for the question.  Following surgery, your swelling will gradually subside during the first year.  Be patient, keep follow up appointments, and follow your doctors instructions.
