Based on my experience of doing what you are asking for 20 years the choice of doctor and expertise in filler anatomy of area technique of injection and aesthetic aptitude and safe technique to give the result that you want is more important than the choice of the material /filler product.
Giving that you are fairly young, I would be conservative on how much filler you receive. One to two syringes is more than enough. I would recommend starting out with one.
I believe you get a better, long lasting results that's cheaper with Radiesse. Voluma draws a lot of water and causes swelling. Radiesse is simple and effective to apply and should last 1 year. Do your homework and find an experienced injector. JB
Good question and you can always start with 1-2 syringes and then add more if you like to enhance even furrther.
Contouring and volume of the face can be improved with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra. The amount needed will vary with type of filler and desired results. Fat or implants are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Hello - thank you for the photos. We inject both Radiesse and Voluma for cheeks at our practice.. Typically, to be on the safer side, we recommend Voluma over Radiesse. Reason being is because Voluma is reversible (can be dissolved easily), and Radiesse is NOT reversible, as it is a calcium based filler.Best of luck!
Voluma® is specifically FDA-approved for cheek enhancement and shaping. Depending on overall cheek size, treatment may require 2-4 syringes, or cc's. For the best individualized result, please consult a board certified aesthetic dermatologist for a consultation.
Both Radiesse and Voluma would work well to give you enhanced shape to the cheek area. I prefer Voluma as there is less swelling and discomfort and I believe it lasts longer, but Radiesse works well and is often less expensive. One syringe split between both cheeks would give a subtle enhancement but two syringes would provide a more complete augmentation.
My personal preference for cheek and midface augmentation is Radiesse. Of course I make exceptions according to patient preference, but I find my results with Radiesse to be very reproducible and it gives a nice, longer-lasting result. Radiesse, however, cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase like Voluma can so if too much is used or if you don't like your look afterwards, you will have to live with it for months. As for your question of how many syringes, the larger Radiesse syringes have 1.5cc of filler versus Voluma's 1.0cc. Obviously, the number of syringes will depend on which filler you choose and how much volume you want to have placed.I hope that this helps some. Good luck!
Either of these dermal fillers will satisfy you as well as the addition of Restylane Lyft which is closer to Voluma than it is to Radiesse. I always recommend you start conservatively and add if you desire 2 weeks later when you will be able to see the realistic results. If interest the Radiesse has 1.5cc versus 1cc in the Lyft and Voluma so 1 syringe goes a tad further. Its it important to choose an injector with experience in cheek augmentation to have the look you desire.
Radiesse is a stimulatory filler that is an excellent option for patients who desire a longer-lasting filler alternative to hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. In our office, we use Radiesse to complement structural areas of the face and contour bony prominences. Our office also is a center of...
Experienced injectors often overlay fillers using Radiesse as a deeper filler laying the foundation for more smoothing with a hyaluronic acid filler over the same are above the Radiesse.
