I have 2 very differing opinions. PS #1 suggested 1cc Restylane split between tear troughs for dark circles, & 1.5cc Radiesse to lift cheeks & soften NL folds. PS #2 suggested 1cc per eye Restylane for tear troughs & THREE 1.5cc syringes of Radiesse to lift cheeks & soften NL folds. This seems a large disparity so here I am. I don't expect to look 18 again, just want to lighten dark circles & soften the NL folds. Which suggestion seems more reasonable? Thank you!
Answer: Radiesse I like the first opinion better. You need to use very little of an HA filler like Restylane for your tear troughs to prevent swelling and that filler should be of the thinner variety, such as Restylane Refyne or Belotaro. I would use 1 syringe of Radiesse for your cheek area, that would give you a full natural look. Radiesse is very volumizing and can sometimes be too much. Hope this helps, the trick is to look fresh and natural. JB

Answer: Dark Circles/Eye Bags/Wrinkles -- Fillers Belotero, Juvederm Volbella; Laser Like Fraxel/Co2/J Plasma; Microneedling/PRP; Peels I disagree, the number of filler placed is not what is going to give you improvement, that is only if you are focused JUST on the lower eye trough. a small increase in the cheek will help and some filler to the eye itself will give some improvement, but if you want true contouring of the mid face, cheek, temple, and eyes you likely need more than 2 syringes. the type of filler doesn't matter so much for cheeks I like Radiesse, voluma, defyne or vollure... for the under eye I like belotero, volbela, silk or refyne. I suggest you trust one physician and stay with them. There is also a surgical option to remove skin and/or fat will be the best long term. If you combine with non invasive treatments like lasers, microneedling/PRP, cosmelan peels and stem cells you will get even more improvement. I suggest you get a formal consultation to see what is best for you and your goals. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Restylane and Radiesse Hello and thank you for your question. Very interesting dilemma. Personally I think 2 syringes of Radiesse is sufficient for your cheeks and NLF's. One syringe of Restylane or Juvederm Ultra XC for your tear trough's. Remember we can always add to an injected area. I find overfilling hard to deal with and you will not be happy. Look for an injector you feel comfortable with and go for it. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Radiesse and Restylane Although your photos are slightly overexposed one can see some volume loss in your tear troughs that is frequently the major cause of the "dark circles". Restylane is a good choice for the area.Your question about the number of syringes - whoever suggested 2 syringes of Restylane and 3 syringes of Radiesse does not have your well being in mind! 1 syringe of each is more than enough to address your concerns. Besides, you can always add more if needed; if too much of Radiesse is injected it cannot be removed or dissolved. Always stay natural, avoid looking done. Stick to your first PS! Good luck!

Answer: Tear trough and dark circles Injection into the tear trough will help the indentation but probably have no effect on the dark circles. there is a product for the dark circles containing vitamin A and K which is effective. as far as the cheeks are concerned i would start with the smaller amount and see if that gives what you want as you can always get more
