Nose tip surgery and lip lift: Is it possible to lift the center part of the lips during the nose tip surgery?

I am not a fan of the lip lift.  It produces a little shortening of the lip initially but tends to stretch back down pulling the lower part of he nose with it.  Concentrate on getting a good rhinoplasty result and forget the rest.

Rhinoplasty and lip lift. yes these can be done together by a very experienced rhinoplasty/lip lift surgeon. For 40 years I have done these together and use fat augmentation to increase volume of the red part of the lip. 

Yes, these procedures can be combined in properly selected patients. Typically, a lip lift involves a sort of "handlebar" incision under the nose margin in order to hide the scar in the shadows and hollows under the nose. If an open tip rhinoplasty is done, care has to be taken to protect blood supply to the skin of the columella and keep tension off the repair at the center of the lip lift. The design of the lip lift incision depends on where the surgeon is trying to enhance and suspend, in order to avoid flattening the cupid bow or other distortions.

It is definitely possible to combine both a lip lift with the tip rhinoplasty. The lip lift should shorten the distance between the base of your nose to the red part of your lip and also roll your lip slightly outwards similar to if you press the side of your finger along the upper lip and pull upwards. I think you are right in your assessment. I have many combined rhinoplasty and lip lifts. in fact, I just did the exact same thing on a young woman last week. The rhinoplasty will help refine the nose tip and bridge. The lip lift will shorten the upper lip and 'roll out' the red lip centrally to give it more fullness and femininity. In our practice, we do not recommend the lip lift procedure for a variety of reasons.  We have seen many patients who have had this procedure done from another offices and are very unhappy.  A rhinoplasty procedure can accomplish reduction of the bulbous nasal tip, and refinement of the bridge line and dorsal hump.  For many examples of rhinoplasty, please see the link and the video below

A limited rhinoplasty to narrow and refine the nasal tip can be done at the same time as a lip lift. The lip lift will not only shorten the lip but also add fullness; fat or filler augmentation can be simultaneously added if necessary.
