If you don't want to have them both done at the same time, it would really be your choice as to which one to get first. I say have the procedure done first for the problem that bothers you the most. Good luck!
Thanks for your question. I would do both at the same time, if you are comfortable with that option. If not, I might suggest having the facelift procedure first. All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL
Which ever bothers you the most and you would like to fix first, that is your best choice. Most experienced facial surgeons would perform both at the same time unless you had a specific reason for doing the procedures separately. The advantage of performing both procedures at once is that you will only have one recovery period rather than two. I often advise my patients to wait and do both procedures together.
If both are of equal importance to you, I would do the face first. Then you can know what your facial proportions will be before changing your nose.Best of luck!
Thank you for your question. Combining these procedures is an option you may wish to consider. If that is something you are not comfortable doing, then the best advice is to choose the procedure for the area that you are most unhappy with. There is no medical reason related to which procedure should be done before the other. Schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns, address your overall desired goals and work together to create a surgical plan unique to you. Both rhinoplasty and facelift can be done separately. For more than 35 years I have usually done both at the same time. Choose an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon who does natural looking noses and not overdone noses. The same applies to face lifting.
Rhinoplasty and the facelift procedures may be performed either at the same time or separately. A well-done rhinoplasty performed in an ideal patient often has a rejuvenating effect of the face and complements a facelift by refining the tip, taking away droop of the nose and any bumps, while better defining the natural lines of the nose. The surgeon who you choose for the operation would be the best resource as to whether in your particular case a combined approach is advisable. Dr. B
While both procedures can be performed separately, most patients opt to done them simultaneously, depending on what you are looking to achieve. There is some advantage to doing them together both in terms of healing or down time (1 time vs 2) and financial. Please consult with a board certified specialist who can assist you with achieving the results you seek. 3-dimensional computer imaging can help you visualize what you may look like afterwards and serve as an important communication tool with your surgeon.
Dear Patient,You can do both of them in one surgery. Sometimes we do Facial Makeover which include more than 5 surgeries in one...so dont worry if you think that 2 are a lot. I would go for both in one surgery and you will have : Less final cost, one post-Op time to handle, one general anesthesia to go for...Final surgery does not depend on time nor in quantity, it depends how good it is done and how your body heals well.Best Regards,Dr. Nabil Fakih
I would start with the area that bothers you the most and address this first. There is no absolute right or wrong approach to your question.
It is extremely common that patients will feel that their tip is upturned too much after rhinoplasty. Indeed, we try to tape the tip in an upturned nature to support the tissue healing. We always see the tip come down to the level that was developed during surgery within 6 months, perhaps...
Dear eleyano, Thank you for your clinical post and photograph. Scabbing following a septorhinoplasty is quite common, however, recurrent large scab discharge two months following septorhinoplasty is unusual. It usually indicates there is some internal pathology that needs to be investigated...
Dear LoribordersThank you for the question on a very common topic that we encounter after rhinoplasty during the healing period, the saline acts to add moisture, but also clean out your nose of little dried particles that are usually carried out by the normal mucous flow of your...
