I got a nose job 21 days ago and the tip of my nose seems really upturned. Will that come down? I have to go to school in 20 days and I'm scared it will stay like that
Answer: Upturned nasal tip It is extremely common that patients will feel that their tip is upturned too much after rhinoplasty. Indeed, we try to tape the tip in an upturned nature to support the tissue healing. We always see the tip come down to the level that was developed during surgery within 6 months, perhaps longer, as the nasal tissues relax during the healing process. We also ask our patients, in a good natured way, to avoid starring at their new nose for more than 2 hours daily, otherwise one can over think a slight nasal upturn into a significant possible problem and be stressed out needlessly.I hope you will be patient, but you should be able to get some assurances from your surgeon on this issue if needed.
