How long will it take to see my CoolMini results?

The Cool Mini Coolsculpting treatment is a great option for submental fat. On average, this will eliminate 20-25% of fat cells in the area treated and take roughly 3 months to see the result. Not everyone is a candidate for this treatment. You may need several treatments or even a different approach such as Kybella. Be sure to see a Coolsculpting expert to determine if this is the best treatment for you. Often times laxity in the skin can be mistaken for fat. In this case a skin tightening treatment like Ulthera or Profound could be best for you.

Results after a CoolSculpting CoolMini treatment to the double chin can be seen as early as 4-6 weeks after your treatment. It can take up to 3 months to see peak results. Average reduction is about 20% per treatment, but for the double chin area most people need to do 2-3 sessions. Just like any other non-surgical treatment there is always the possibility of not seeing visible results. There are many reasons for this. I would recommend continued follow up with your treating physician and evaluation of your before and after pictures. We have multiple treatments for the double chin area which when used together provide optimal results. Make sure you are under the care of an experienced physician provider. Best wishes.

Most experienced centers recommend 2 rounds of CoolSculpting for the fat under the chin. Like for any other part of the body, however, it is always nice to see some improvement before going ahead with a second round. That is why we tend to wait 2 to 3 months before that 2nd round.  CoolSculpting is still the best non-invasive fat reduction technology, but it is not perfect. We get a visual reduction of any collection in approximately 95% of patients, which means that there is a 5% chance that you don’t see any results. There is also a rare risk (around 1 chance in 1,000) that the fat gets thicker after the treatment.

Hi and thanks for your question! Amount of cycles per treatment and amount of treatments needed can vary per patient, as everyone responds differently. Patients usually need 2-3 treatments to see maximum and ideal results from cool sculpting, however some see results in 1-2 treatments.This is also dependent on how much subcutaneous fat is present at baseline. Often times we find patients need a minimum of two cycles per treatment, overlapping in the center. We then often follow up with a second treatment of the same two cycles. Final results from coolsculpting occur over 3 months time, after each treatment. You really do need this 3 months to see the full effect, even though results may start to show in some patients as early as 1-2 months. Often we will recommend 6-8 weeks in between treatments, however, it is completely safe to do additional treatments after four weeks. I recommend you wait out the 3 months, and then return to the practice for follow up pictures. You may need an additional treatment, but see how the pictures look and discuss with your provider. Hello there! Full affect of treatment is usually seen 6-8 weeks post treatment. That being said, it could take a few more weeks for some people to see the full affect. In your case, it may be that what you are visualizing is actually skin laxity, and not fat at all. Thank you for your question.  In general, Coolsculpting results take up to 3 months to appreciate.  That being said, there are certain situations where you may not see any results at all.  It is important to see an expert in body contouring to assess if you are truly a good candidate for Coolsculpting and not just a provider trying to make money.
