Is it possible for coolsculpting to fail? I did coolsculpting in the end of October and I had my second treatment in the beginning of December. I'm on my second month this month and I haven't seen any result for under chin fat. I'm so disappointed that maybe it just isn't going to work, do you think maybe something went wrong or will I still have a chance to see results in the next months?

It can take up to 3 months to see peak results. Average reduction is about 20% per treatment, but for the double chin area most people need to do 2-3 sessions. Just like any other non-surgical treatment there is always the possibility of not seeing visible results. There are many reasons for this. I would recommend continued follow up with your treating physician and evaluation of your before and after pictures. We have multiple treatments for the double chin area which when used together provide optimal results. Make sure you are under the care of an experienced physician provider. Best wishes.

Answer: You should see results in 2 to 3 months, but there is a small chance CoolSculpting will not work for you Most experienced centers recommend 2 rounds of CoolSculpting for the fat under the chin. Like for any other part of the body, however, it is always nice to see some improvement before going ahead with a second round. That is why we tend to wait 2 to 3 months before that 2nd round. CoolSculpting is still the best non-invasive fat reduction technology, but it is not perfect. We get a visual reduction of any collection in approximately 95% of patients, which means that there is a 5% chance that you don’t see any results. There is also a rare risk (around 1 chance in 1,000) that the fat gets thicker after the treatment.
