Fantastic! I couldn’t be happier that I found Dr. Miller and that he’s so close to where I live!! I discovered him through an advertisement for an Open House for CoolSculpting, which I ended up getting on my lower abdomen and “love handles”/flanks. Two machines were used at the same time so treatment time cut in half. Even though his staff was the ones handling this procedure he still came in to check in with me. Most recently, I had a periorbital vein removed via laser. It was a very tolerable procedure and the blue look of the vein was instantly gone. I’ve hated that vein for years and I’m only out 1 Week from treatment and wish I had done it sooner. There were no marks on my face, no bruising. Some mild swelling but I also have filler in my under eye trough that I think attracted the excess fluid post-procedure, which has now resolved. Under-eye is indeed younger and brighter looking without that vein! I just had lip filler injected yesterday and very happy with results. He strives for a very natural look which is good for someone getting filler for the first time. I can definitely tell the difference but it’s not obvious to anyone else. I may go slightly fuller next time but I’d rather have that gradual transition than boom here’s my fake lips. I was so afraid of having a swollen looking duckbill post-procedure but was able to go run errands right afterward and woke up this morning and heading to my workout class without worry that anyone will notice I had work done, no swelling or redness!!!! His technique is great! Dr. Miller took his time with all of these consults and procedures. He’s so friendly, funny, and takes pride in achieving a result that will suit you best, and of course, he’s a very knowledgeable and skilled physician who also does great cosmetic work. I felt confident right away that I was in good hands with him. Of course, I can’t give him all of these accolades without acknowledging his amazing staff. Every single one of these women are friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. You will feel just as comfortable with them as you will with Dr. Miller. Thank you, Dr. Miller and ladies!
I have had two cool sculpting appointments for a total of five cycles on my abdomen. I was so excited to have this procedure. I am pleased with the results and have recommended it to my daughter. I was impressed with the staff. They are knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I have plans to return for more cool sculpting in other areas. This reviewer received a gift card from RealSelf in exchange for their review.
I was widowed about a year, in my mid-50's, and my weight went down, then up. That stubborn belly fat appeared and wasn't going away. I had the treatment, which kickstarted a healthier lifestyle! I'm dating, more confident in my body! Not a perfect body, but a perfect start to a new way of living.
In February of 2018, I had my first consultation with Dr. Miller to see if I was a good candidate for CoolSculpting. After spending a considerable amount of time with him, he assured me I was a good candidate. So, two months later I had my first CoolSculpting appointment with Lori who was both knowledgeable and sweet. The procedure took about an hour or so and was not at all that uncomfortable. Within 5 weeks, my husband commented that I looked like I lost weight(which I hadn't), but my abdomen was considerably smaller. Over the next few weeks, my midsection also shrunk and I was thrilled! In August 2018, I went back for another procedure to tighten up my midsection a little more. The cost was an additional $1050. My follow up visits and post op pictures proved that I was indeed a good candidate for Cool sculpting. I am almost 69 years old and was initially skeptical about this considering my age, but I can happily say, both my husband and I are delighted with the results. I had the best experience with Dr.Miller and his staff. I did several coolsculpting sessions and got the most amazing results and Dr.Miller and Laurie worked hard to give me the best most natural result. I felt completely comfortable with them, such a good bedside manner and so compassionate and committed to getting the best results. Updated on 9 Jan 2019: I suggest more than one round of coolsculpting to get the best results. I was so happy with the care and precision taken to make it look even and natural. I am so pleased with the results, for those doubting it definitely works.
Great experience from start to finish and price was competitive. First treatment some discomfort, second treatment more so but worth it for the excellent results I got on my man boobs. The office people were great, the girls that did each procedure were very nice and new what they were doing. I went in to have cool sculpting on my stomach after I had surgery that left my stomach looking a bit fatty. They advised it would be about a 25% improvement after 2 treatments. The doctor and staff were very nice and checked in throughout the treatment. It was cold and slightly uncomfortable for a few minutes then it was just numb for the rest of the treatment. I did see a difference after the first treatment. The 2nd I didn’t really see much of a difference from the first but overall I am happy with itThe review received a gift card from RealSelf in exchange for their review
I had such a great experience at the Aesthetic & Vein Center in Salem. I am sure it is the same staff in Nashua. Every staff member I came in to contact with was extremely friendly and welcoming. Dr. Miller is fantastic. He is clearly an experienced, caring doctor. PREFACE: I went in to the Aesthetic & Vein Center for lip fillers. I had never had them before. I did tons of research on places and even went for another consultation (which was HORRIBLE) at a place in Chelmsford, MA -- I'm so happy I did not end up going there. I was recommended a few years ago to Dr. Miller by a co-worker. Although the Salem office is about 40 minutes from my house, it is well worth the drive. My consultation was comfortable PROCEDURE: Dr. Miller was very gentle through the whole procedure. He explained everything as he did it. He made sure I was aware of what was happening, and why he was doing it. I did not receive any numbing cream, because Dr. Miller uses a local anesthetic before he uses the filler. It really was not too painful at all. You can tell that he knows what he is doing and is highly experienced. Lyne was assisting during the procedure and she was very comforting. She rubbed my shoulder during the injections and it was actually really nice! It is now the day after and I do not have any bruising, and minimal swelling. Dr. Miller wanted to make sure my lips looked natural and not fake. I really appreciate that. I hope he agrees to do more in a few months ;)
This will be my first experience with Coolsculpting. I've previously been treated for depression and the medication has unfortunately made me gain weight. I've been eating well (salads, fruits, etc) and staying active (exercise 5 days/week). Yet I am still struggling with unwanted fat in my mid section. So I've decided to try this procedure. Prior to the consultation, I was nervous because it's a big decision and a large purchase. Laurie, the Aesthetic Coordinator, took me into a private room and we went over what my goals were and how many cycles that would include. We decided on 2 cycles: on the lower abdomen in the shape of an overlapping V. Then Dr. Miller came in to assess. He was very professional who let me explain what I was looking for without interrupting. He then looked at my tummy, lower abdomen and upper, and spoke with Laurie about how to apply the cycles. They worked together and toyed with the idea of including my upper abdomen but looked at the bigger picture and saw that it was hidden well in the present curves of my waist. He agreed on the 2 cycles in the shape of a V. I then threw a wrench into it and said I was unhappy with my outside hips as well. He explained to me how it wasn't really my hips (somewhat of an illusion) and that it stemmed from my lower back. He pulled back the parts he was trying to explain in the mirror and I saw what he meant. It would have looked off if it was placed on my hips. So he decided I could benefit from an additional 2 cycles; one on either side of my lower back. After he left, Laurie went over the pricing. She didn't push me into getting my back done but rather showed me what the cost would be and let me make my own decision. They had a June special for $100 off the procedure, so it came out to be $2800. She said if I came again in the future, I'd get a discount for any cycles. My appointment is scheduled for tomorrow after work just for my tummy with the option to do my back as well if I feel like it. I'm quite nervous and keep looking at everyone's results hoping that those will be my results as well. I'll keep everyone updated on my progression! Updated on 22 Jun 2017: Updated on 23 Jun 2017: It's been a day after and it's pretty much what I've expected after reading all the reviews. The procedure was uncomfortable but not excruciating, which is to be expected. The machine sucked the part we were treating and immediately started cooling. The lairs taking care of my procedure made sure I was comfortable with propping up my back and head. At one point, I felt like I could fall asleep. We treated one flank and the opposite side abdomen at a time so I only sat through 2 sessions. My stomach and back are not bruised but they are a bit swollen and painful. It feels like an extreme pins and needles sensation. I'll be doing Aerial Silks tonight which requires wrapping silk around myself so hopefully it won't be unbearable. Will update again! Updated on 23 Jun 2017: Updated on 30 Jun 2017: Updated on 3 Aug 2017: I will be adding updated photos on my results but I can see some difference - nothing too dramatic. When I try to pinch my tummy below my belly button (which is where the 2 applicators overlapped, so logically it should be more noticeable), it feels like here is less to pinch. As far as my flanks, I notice a big difference. I had a small convex pocket a few inches above my tailbone that was not as prominent with my extra weight on the surrounding flanks. You'll see what I mean in the pictures to come. I've become acutely aware of my posterior thighs and saddlebags so I will be going to a number of consultations to get a more competitive price. Updated on 6 Aug 2017: Supposedly, results should been seen anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks. Updates will be now weekly. I notice a difference in the front-facing photo. You can see there is less pull on skin from underwear. I'll let you seen for yourself though. Updated on 6 Aug 2017:
I just turned 24 and have been considering Botox for well over a year. Deep forehead lines run on either side of my family and I have an extremely expressive face so I'm trying to do all I can to prevent lines from forming. I wear spf 50 daily and have a good skincare routine so I decided to look in to getting Botox in my forehead and between my brows to help. I found Dr. Miller who's office is close by and after a consultation I've decided to book an appointment. He's extremely thorough so far and answered every question I had. One of my biggest requirements was that the doctor not over inject me and before I could even bring that up he specified he would be doing the minimum amount of units on me. I believe it'll be 8 in my forehead, 24 in between my brows, and 3 on either side of my brows. I'm nervous but also very excited to see the results. I'll update probably the day off or the day after the procedure. Updated on 1 Sep 2016: I have an extremely expressive forehead lol. Hopefully Dr Miller can fix it! Updated on 17 Sep 2016: So I had my treatment today! I was so so excited. The nurse took me in for before pictures and then I went in a room to remove any face makeup in the areas of treatment, and was then brought in to the treatment room. Dr. Miller is so funny and relaxing, he made me feel very comfortable the whole time he was marking the areas to be injected. I BARELY felt the injections and they only took about 5 or 6 minutes in total. I had small red bumps for about 20 minutes after and now they've calmed down. He told me to wait minimum 10 days before seeing results. Will post update pictures soon! Updated on 19 Sep 2016: I think I'm starting to notice a difference! I've been so scared to touch the area in case I love it even though I'm pretty sure I was good after the first day. Better safe than sorry! Frowning and raising eyebrows same as in the first two photos. I see a difference between my brows but not in my forehead yet.
There is no doubt that many of the fat cells that get frozen through CoolSculpting will die off and get eliminated over a period of several weeks. The loss of fat (and of fat cells) achieved through CoolSculpting is permanent, like the loss of fat obtained through liposuction.
Most experienced centers recommend 2 rounds of CoolSculpting for the fat under the chin. Like for any other part of the body, however, it is always nice to see some improvement before going ahead with a second round. That is why we tend to wait 2 to 3 months before that 2nd round. CoolSculpting is still the best non-invasive fat reduction technology, but it is not perfect. We get a visual reduction of any collection in approximately 95% of patients, which means that there is a 5% chance that you don’t see any results. There is also a rare risk (around 1 chance in 1,000) that the fat gets thicker after the treatment.
It is very uncommon (in fact, pretty rare) to see more laxity of the skin after CoolSculpting treatment. In fact, we have seen a little bit of skin tightening in some patients after CS, although it should not be considered a skin tightening modality. If there is a clearly palpable fat collection, I would clearly proceed with CS first. Then, depending on the appearance, I would give consideration to CoolTone (or Emsculpt) to increase muscle tone. If there is any skin laxity to start with, the addition of Exilis Ultra would be beneficial.
Usually we like to wait 2 to 3 months before proceeding with a second round to ensure that there is a decent response. However, if it is clear that you are responding, some practices will go ahead and treat with a second round, without waiting for 3 months. In our practice, we prefer to see the full result of the first round before going ahead with a second round.
With proper technique/ application, this would be a very rare occurrence (that we have not seen). The main reason is that liposuction depends on the technical aspect of running a small tube (less than ¼ inch) under the skin multiple times, trying to evenly remove the collection of fat. On the other hand, the CoolSculpting applicator brings in a collection of fat that gets frozen, leading to a relatively even reduction of the collection.
