Can I get a lip wax two hours prior to Juvederm lip injections?

If there is any residual redness or swelling following your wax treatment, having lip injections should be postponed.  It is not recommended to inject an area wherein the skin may already have some irritation. 

Thanks for your question and I would strongly advise you not to have both of them on the same day, if possible.  Waxing can cause swelling and inflammation to the area – and so will the filler – and that means you will have more than the normally expected swelling if both are done close together on the same day.  Having your lips waxed will not affect the filler itself but will affect what happens after.

There should be no problem waxing before lip injections with fillers.  Just make sure you inform the provider injecting your lips.  Take care.
