On average, how long does it take to look normal? Can I use Ice packs or anything to heal fast? I understand results won't show right away. Too embarrassed to show my face

It is normal to have swelling after cosmetic surgery of the face and neck and usually this peaks at about the second to third day after the procedure.  It normally will then begin to slowly improve, but it can take weeks to months for all of the swelling to resolve.  Ice packs for the first few days can help to reduce swelling.  If you feel as though your swelling is not improving, you should contact your surgeon.

Yes, it is very normal after each of these procedures to experience swelling. In most cases, the cheek swelling will remain the longest, sometimes up to 2 weeks. The eye swelling resolves quickly as well as the chin swelling.
