Does Ehlers-Danlos undermine breast augmentation?

Question

10 years ago I had under-muscle saline breast implants put in. I have ehlers-danios syndrome, and the implants almost immediately slid into my armpits when lying down. Lately one side has been flipping 90degrees when I lean forward. Is enlarged pockets just a hazard of ehlers-danlos? I have had many surgeries due to my condition, including mitro-valve repair.

Hello,It is likely that your condition has caused a laxity of the implant capsules in the same way it causes laxity in all of your body connective tissues. You would likely benefit from the use of an ADM, a biologic material that can help fix your implants into position.Best of luck!

certainly your condition will play a role in position you find yourself in now. However saline implants are generally smooth and you should perhaps think about textured implants which may well help to hold the breast implants in position with tissue integration.
