Bridge too high after rhinoplasty - how much does it go down after a year, on average?

How much does the bridge of the nose usually reduce after rhinoplasty? I am still early on during the rhinoplasty timeline and even though the nose already looks great, the bridge is too high and it doesn't make my profile look anywhere close to how I would've liked it. Thanks.

Generally, after a year of recovery with rhinoplasty, what you see is what you get.  This is especially true of the bridge.  In fact, you probably have not noticed much of a change in the bridge since 6 weeks or so after your surgery.

Generally by one year post-op, you will not see much more of a reduction in the swelling to bring the profile further down. I would discuss this with your surgeon because a revision to bring this into better alignment with your expectations is fairly easy to accomplish.

Dear fkoanaIn my experience, on average, the bridge edema settles to close to final shape at around 3 to 4 months while the tip edema and final shape can take as long as 8-9 months depending on your skin type (thickness). Revision rhinoplasty can take longer.

Your bridge does not go down much except for if it was built up with diced cartilage grafting. When your hump is removed you can expect to retain whatever fullness you were provided. Please provide a photo so we can give you more accurate recommendations.

Dear fkoana, The majority of your swelling should be dissipating around the three to four month post operative period with some residual swelling (typically more so in the tip) that may take an entire year.
