Will a 3mm Permalip give me the subtle result I'm after? Is it worth it? (photos)

We prefer using the patient's own tissues to augment the lips (LiveFill(R)) rather than a synthetic implant.  It gives soft, natural feeling results and doesn't require placement of a plastic implant that can shift (usually it bottoms out) or be palpable as a firm object.

I think if you want a subtle change then a 4 mm implant will be fine. a 5 mm implant equates to about 1.5 mLs of filler. With a 3 mm implant you will no notice much difference and will probably end up injecting some filler as it will not give the additional volume that you want. The majority of the lip implants that I do are of the 5 mm thickness. Some patients will have the 4 mm if there lips are very thin. I have not used the 3 mm implant in any of my patients as I think it is too thin and does not make much difference - especially for younger patients.I hope this helps BWRohit SethPlastic, reconstructive, aesthetic and hair transplant surgery

The permalip does come in different sizes and that size is definitely will not make them an XL size. Many of my patients desire the XL lip. These can be done under a local anesthetic wityh usually a small downtime. Also, they are much easier to remove if necessary.
