Fillers for severely chapped lips? If that is the case, which fillers work best for hydration?

Thank you for sharing your question.  Any of the hyaluronic acid fillers will attract water into the lips with Juvederm Ultra/Ultra Plus more than say Vollure or Refyne/Defyne.  This is usually temporary and not a correction for chapped lips, especially since it will cause an increase in lip volume.  Perhaps try a thinner filler like Volbella which offers little additional volume.  Hope this helps.

Trisha.   While fillers like Juvederm Ultra plus do attract water to the cells where it is placed, this is a temporary phenomenon, and will not treat dry or chapped lips.  Try to find a lip moisturizer that suits you, and go for lip fillers only if you desire fuller lips.  Best of luck!

Hi there and thanks for your question! Lip fillers will not relieve chapped lips, however the juvederm products are hydrophillic and pull water in to create a more plump, hydrated looking lip.  This adds volume and fullness to your lip and can diminish some fine lines but will not ease your chapped lips on the outside.  I suggest seeing an experienced injector for more information.
