There are very few risks with long-term cheek implants. We have seen patients 20 years later and they look just fine. The cheek implants themselves are manufactured in a large array of sizes, thicknesses, and shapes is best determined at the time of the consultation and examination. Cheek implants are placed through an intraoral incision under a brief general anesthesia as an outpatient procedure.
