I had an explant and lift almost two months ago. My left breast is healing so much quicker than my right. Is this normal? My right breast was the one that had the ruptured implant for a couple of months before explant. Can that have any relation to this? Just curious....thanks

Answer: One breast heals faster than the other Yes. Although we think of breasts as one unit they are actually two, with their own blood supply and healing capabilities. It is not uncommon for one side to heal faster than the other and may be related to the patient’s own tissues and healing mechanisms and also how the surgery was performed. After a few months, however, the two breasts should start appearing symmetrical.
