How long after surgery is it safe to start Prozac back up?

I have read that there were increased risks of bleeding during surgery if you take Prozac. So I stopped mine 2 weeks prior to surgery just in case. I'm 3 days post op now....is it safe to start them up again? Thanks!

I would suggest waiting a full 2 weeks after your surgery to make sure that your bleeding risks are very low.

You should be safe to restart your prozac and usually I do not stop this medication before surgery. However, you should discuss resuming medications with your surgeon as some times they have a particular preference about when to restart medications. #PlasticSurgery #BreastLift #Prozac
