Is my nipple dying? (photos)

A few days ago I asked a questions if my nipples look normal after surgery. Since then they have gotten worse and the nipple looks like a scab and is peeling off. What's going on?

There is clearly some circulation problems with the nipple areas. The good news is that they don't look black and in fact look alive. You will go through a period of delayed healing. Eventually the pink areas will turn dark again though it might not be 100% complete. The whole thing can take 3-4 months. Be patient and follow your surgeon's instructions.

It appears as though you are going though some wound healing issues, but with careful follow up they should heal in nicely.

Thanks for your question about breast lift surgery.From review of your photos it certainly appears as though your skin around the areola is a bit raw.  This could be related to a few things, but I certainly recommend close follow up with your plastic surgeon.  This will allow you to get the best care and make you heal as quickly and as well as could be expected.Best Wishes
