Fibrosis or uneven liposuction? Is it too late to fix this? (Photo)

Question

Three and a half years ago I had a Brazilian butt lift done. My tummy is very uneven I’m not sure if it’s fibrosis or uneven liposuction , also have scar tissue, is it too late to fix this ?

Hello!This is an even more optimal time than the time surrounding your surgery. The tissues have reached maximal scar maturation. You would likely see nice treatment with power assisted liposuction to break up scar and even out contours. This would need to be done in a surgical procedure under general anesthesia - there is no role for CoolSculpt or noninvasive liposuction technologies. I would recommend you visit with a board certified plastic surgeon - you can find one at plasticsurgery.org.

Thank you for your questions.  Looking at the pictures you have provided it does look like you possibly have some scar tissue build up and some uneven areas.  Typically I would recommend to do some additional liposuction we have some techniques that we can do to help break up the scar tissue and even you out.  I would recommend seeing a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to be evaluated.  Best of luck to you.

nahla14.    Sorry you are having these issues. Physical examination would be needed to confirm, but it does look like the uneven results creating contour irregularities can be corrected with micro liposuction. From the photos it seems that you will benefit from a revision liposuction. However the best thing for you is to have an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. Contour can be improved and additional fat can be removed if you so chose.

Without examining you it is difficult to be certain but based on the photos it looks like you would do well with some revision SAFELipo. Some of the remaining fat can be removed and a lot of the irregularities would be smoothed. Get a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to be examined and explore your options. Agreed that this is not a great result. An exam would be needed to evaluate.  If fibrous tissue, the correction is more difficult and results could be limited.
