Can Spanx compression garment leave permanent seam marks?

Question

I am 1 week post abdominal and flank liposuction and breast augmentation, and my doctor transitioned me to Spanx a day after the surgery. I bought a body suit that snaps at the crotch and has shoulder straps, as pulling up and down Spanx was painful with my BA. The seams of the body suit leave marks on my abs. Will this cause permanent marks? Should I switch to Spanx with no seams?

I recommend following up with your Doctor about getting a compression garment that fits. I have my patients wear customized compression for 3-6 weeks straight then overnight for 3-6 months after their procedure. For liposuction after care, I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance.
