Chester K. Cheng, MD

I know the best reviews have photos but I'm a private person so forgive the lack of photographs. But I wanted to come on here because I am happy with Dr. Cheng's work. I had lipo 360 and fat transfer to buttocks (BBL). When I had my initial consultation, Dr. Cheng's staff asked me what I was looking for in terms of results. I really think this is important because what I was looking for was my figure to be balanced as I am top heavy. They made it clear, however, that if I wanted a larger backside that this wasn't something they advised. So if this is something you want (a big booty!), make sure you tell them this to see if this is possible.
As for the day of the surgery, everyone was really kind. From the nurses, to the anestheologist, to Dr. Cheng, they really try to make you as comfortable as possible. I was there in the morning until early afternoon. I have to admit I have a low pain threshold so post-op was grueling for me. I also had a slight complication in that the pain meds prevented me from urinating so I had to get a catheter a couple days later. Ever try to walk around w/ a catheter? It sucks. I decided to stop taking the pain meds just so I could remove the catheter (remember, I have a real low tolerance for pain so that should tell you how much I hated having a catheter.) After a couple of days, I added back the pain meds but took them twice a day rather than every 4-6 hours and I was able to go to the bathroom.
I'm now 17 days post op and appreciate Dr. Cheng's work. Many others said they experience leakage so I had liners on my bed and disposable underwear (think Depends) ready to use. But I had very little leakage, just some spotting from my arms and underneath my breasts and that was only one night. Maybe it's because he put 600 cc in each buttock versus what some others receive which is a lot more. But that's why Dr. Chester wanted to know what my expectations were because he said the body rejects fat after a certain amount and that my skin could only stretch to a certain amount. In any case, I had very little leakage which I was pleased with. Also my incisions were clean and healing quite nicely. It's been just two and half weeks so I know I'll need to revisit this review to give an update. But I felt like I had to write because Dr. Cheng doesn't have many BBL reviews yet I know he does A LOT of them so I suppose his patients are very much like me and want to be private. The reason I decided on Dr. Cheng was because of a couple personal recommendations people gave me. If not for that, I don't think I would have gone with him based on the reviews here. As someone who did a lot of research, I would have loved to read recent (and good) reviews for him so I'm adding mine.

Today is my first day post op & I am feeling great!! I was able to decline pain meds after surgery, & I am now 14 hrs out and haven't had to take any besides my antibiotic that was prescribed. During my consultation we had decided on silicone Natrelle implant 365cc being the biggest, I went in for surgery Monday morning June 14,2021. One of the last thing I told the Dr. & Nurse was I do not want to wake up and think I should have gone bigger, & i want a nice side boob. When I woke up nurse had offered pain meds told her I'm doing great right now I'm ready to go back to work. Lol. I asked the size we ended up going with, she said 415CC!!! I was so happy to hear that as I was afraid of 365 would be small. I will paste you guys more later, I will be wrapped until June 16,2022, which is when I can shower.

Still doing great so far, just a bit pressure. No pain. I was able to shower today and remove the net.

I am now on day 7, I am now able to get dressed on my own. Pain level was 2-3, i think the hardest part was having someone there the whole time helping me get out of bed. I had little to no arm movements to make sure my incisions healed right. My incision was transaxillary and I’m super happy I went with that method, the scar is healing so good I’m sure it will barely be noticeable.

I am now 6 weeks, I am loving my results, I’m still sleeping in a slight elevated position & learned that using a neck pillow has helped me sleep better. Im so glad I went with transaxillary method, I couldn’t be happier.

Hi people!
I got 450cc on my right side and 485 in my left, because my ribs protrude further on my left side.
I have Natrelle Inspira SRF implants
I constantly read that the uneven drop rate is extremely common but I can’t stop overthinking it and over analyzing.
I have a three week post op appointment next Wednesday, but just got a piece of mind in the mean time, I want to know what others think. I’m constantly researching anyway, so I figured I might as well post about it!
I’m feeling like either my right implant is slowly bottoming out or my left one is slowly being encapsulated by tissue (capsular contracture)
I can somewhat feel my implant underneath my right breast, and my left breast feels very firm, still.
Please let me know what you think! (I’m 15 days post op)

I had my second post op appointment, yesterday. Which means I’m officially three weeks out.
Everything seemed fine to Dr. Cheng, but then again, I presume it’s too early for any assumptions

I can’t get over how different my two boobs look.
I feel like my left nipple is never going to look as good as my right and it’s terrifying me because there’s no way in hell I could afford a revision. HELLPPPPPP

I can’t even tell anymore, but I THINK my left boob is slowly catching up to my right. I’ve lost track and I look at them multiple times a day so I have no clue. Do you guys see a difference or is it just me?

I can’t stop obsessing over the different rate my boobs are dropping at.
I literally still cannot tell if my left is catching up or if it’s the same place, because at this point, my right is almost where it’s supposed to be. I’m officially 5 weeks post op and I feel like they should be aligning, by now. Am I wrong? UGH.

I have 450cc in my left (the one that is dropping slower) and 475cc in my right. My incision is under my nipple. I have Natrelle high profile implants. I started with a 34 A

Had a post op meeting with my surgeon about three days ago.
Just as I suspected, my left breast pocket that was created for my implant was not low enough.
So, currently it’s getting softer in its higher position and it’s not going anywhere.
This is a surgical error, yet my surgeon wants to charge me $750-900 for “medical supplies and such”
I’m f*cking pissed, honestly. Why should I pay for his mistake? It makes absolutely no sense to me.
I have no idea what to do.

Pissed.
I had to pay $750 for them to give me barely any local anesthetic to subdue the pain during surgery.
I could feel the pain of my suRgeon slicing and expanding my pocket.
I’m not sure how long it takes for results to show but nothing looks different yet. I’m pretty devastated and traumatized, to say the least.

So, I got my revision in august.
That means it’s been about six months!
I still tell everyone the horror story with my revision. That was a total nightmare. I could genuinely feel every single slice the scalpel made and I’m still so traumatized by it.
However, I’m looking so much better and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t happy with what I have, now!!

I've always wanted to get rid of the bags under my eyes that made me look tired even when well rested. I finally decided to do it and had my surgery yesterday. Immediately after surgery, the swelling wasn't too bad but my eyes were bruised. No pain and now today, the swelling has increased but I still haven't pain. More to come!

I just had my second surgery with Dr. Cheng yesterday and am feeling great. No sickness or pain...haven't had to use pain meds at all. Dr. Cheng has a wonderful bedside manner and takes time to talk to you about the procedure, answer any questions you may have and chat about other things so you never feel rushed. I highly recommend him for that and for his skill - excellent results!

For a doctor who does plastic surgery and probably earns a lot of money, Dr. Chester Cheng has amazing bed side manner. He is gentle, caring, and soft spoken. Always open to answer questions and connects with you and your interests besides the procedure you are going in for. He is very knowledgable and doesn't push you to do anything you are not comfortable in. Besides the long wait when we first came for our first consultation, everything has gone very smoothly. I had my surgery yesterday and the surgical team was A++++++. From the check-in lady at Stanford Valley Healthcare to my registered nurses. Everyone made me feel so comfortable and at ease. All the nurses and even the anesthesiologists compliment on what a great doctor he is. Ladies and Gents, "This speaks VOLUMES!" I want to just give them a major shout out, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I can't wait for my first post operation review. Fingers crossed. I went for 265/ 325 cc. I will keep you all posted!

Hi all, after learning so much from this community, I decided to make my own post in hopes I might help someone else, and to continue to gain insight, get answers to questions and ease my worries :)
Before my surgery, I was a small, deflated C/large B after weight loss. I wanted perkiness and a larger bust. I had a good experience with surgery, really like my surgeon and am finally feeling a bit better today, day 6 post op. My main concern right now is that I won't be happy with the final outcome size-wise. I told My PS I wanted to be a large D/DD. I tried on sizers and liked anywhere from 485-550. Because of my asymmetry, I got 485(right) and 450 (left). I was so disappointed when I learned that after surgery because I thought I'd be in the 500-550 range. I trust my surgeon with my vision and provided details and photos about what I wanted. I know it's too soon to tell what size I'll end up with, but I'm feeling majorly down about being disappointed after going through all of this. Any words of wisdom greatly appreciated. <3

Dr. Cheng is an excellent surgeon and he has a wonderful demeanor. Scheduling was easy. The office staff is fantastic. I was very impressed by the thoroughness of the pre-surgical meeting with Dr. Cheng's surgery nurse. The procedure was explained in detail. The entire process exceeded my expectations. Thank you.

I had previously breast augmentation with another dr didn't feel like I was important right after I woke up from surgery they dressed me and felt like the just liked me out . This is my second surgery first with dr Cheng and let me say it was amazing from the preppy appointments to the day of surgery they were very attentive made sure I was okay took their time I recommend Dr Cheng and his office 5 stars

My experience with Dr. Cheng and his staff was excellent. The eyelid procedure and what I could expect regarding the recovery and outcome was fully explained. He and his team were professional and responsive.

After many consults in the San Francisco bay area with top BBL specialists, I found a great review here for Dr. Chester Cheng, and not only was his experience up to par with some of my other top consults, his price was almost half due, mainly because other doctors had private personal surgical suites, or wanted me to spend the night in the hospital to be monitored, and Dr. Cheng uses the Stanford ValleyCare Outpatient Surgery Center. All my questions answered, my prescriptions filled at my pre op appointment along with supplements to aid in healing, a week later at 7 am, nurse Donna put me at ease un der a warm blanket, get my IV started, DR. Cheng came and took pics and I was wheeled in, breathing for a few minutes on oxygen and fell asleep. I woke up from a dream to Dr. Cheng said my chin lipo went smooth and he was able to remove my stomach and flank fat and place 540 cc in each butt cheek. No pain, just numbness. healing gradually got better each day- no real pain, just sore and bruised for a few weeks and after about 2 months of sensitive skin of the lipo-ed areas, my body "reconnected" with the nerves. ( Chin strap was one week on full time, then one week just at bedtime, Lipo compression garment was 5 weeks, and needs a good washing every week) Hardest part was not sitting on my fat butt for 5 weeks, but now that I look back 3+ months later, I could totally do it again. My next goal would be to have my outer thighs, banana roll and inner thighs lipo-ed away and if enough fat, have that transferred into my butt, and pec implants.
