Answer: Post operative instruction for breasts augmentation Dear Caroline, Thanks for submitting your pictures and congratulation on your nice result so far. Obviously, all your questions should be discussed with your surgeon and you should follow his or hers instruction. I can tell you what are my routines for post operative patients' instructions, which are based on science and common sense:1. Post operative dressing of sub areola incision are removed after 2 days, unless the wound is not healed completely. It takes 2 days for the epithlialization of the wound to occur and the wound is sealed up. No need for dressing. 2. Shower is allowed after 2 days with water stream hitting only the back. Shower is lukewarm and quick. All meant to avoid bleeding. The incision can get wet. 3. 2 weeks after surgery, you may use Coco butter or Vit E or Mederma , to help the scar mature. 4. From observing your picture, you implants are riding high, which is normal for that stage of healing. I instruct all my patients to perform implants displacement massgae, to help with the 'fluffing' (settling) of the implants. 5. My patients are instructed not to wear a bra for 1 month after surgery, in order to help the implants to settle down and maintain the crease in place , so it will not contract upward, producing ptosis(droopiness). Bra is worn only at bed time to support the implants and avoid their displacement under the arms pit. That is done for one month, to allow the capsule to strengthen and hold the implants in place. I hope this is helpful, Best of luck, Dr Widder
