Implant exchange - would 360cc to 485cc make a big difference in size and look?

Would going from a 360 moderate profile silicone under the muscle to a 485 high profile silicone under the muscle make a big difference or not much of a difference in size and look?

Thank you for your question.  Increasing your implant size approximately 120cc's and changing the profile will definitely be noticeable.  It would potentially be close to about a cup size.  I would suggest speaking with your Surgeon of choice to discuss your options and plan.  Best of luck to you.

breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small.You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.

Yes, those changes will affect the size and shape of your new breasts! An increase of approximately 100-150 cc will lead to an increase of approximately one breast cup size. Also, changing the profile from moderate to high profile, will give you more projection. Ask your surgeon for examples of the implants to place underneath your bra to give you a better idea of what to expect. Good luck!

You will probably go up in cup size and that will be a noticeable difference. Going with the higher profile will help fit your pocket better and give more projection as well.  If needed, your lateral pockets could be tightened to let the implants sit a little higher.  Please discuss this with your surgeon.

YES.  A 50cc increase in implant size in noticeable while a 100cc increase is a full cup size change.  This added with the high profile implant with is much higher projection (while the base diameter is similar to a moderate profile implant) will radically change the size and shape of your current breasts.
