I am 23 year old male. I have thinning in mid area of head all way back in the M shape Please suggest me what can i do to get full hair. I also contacted a doctor about hair transplant. He told me i cannot go for hair transplant now because i have diffused thinning pattern
Answer: What can I do about my hair loss? You are young and you appear to be headed to a horse shoe shape pattern of baldness or a Norwood class 5 or 6. At your age, a hair transplant with so much hair loss is not a good idea. You should consider medical therapy and it is better to start this as soon as possible. Options include oral finasteride, topical minoxidil, high quality PRP or CRP, and topical WNT-act. Begin now, because advanced hair loss will not respond to medical therapy. In the long run, I think you can expect more hair loss regardless. If you do have diffuse thinning, you should not consider a hair transplant.

Answer: Hair Loss at a Young Age Hi there - Based on your photos it does appear that you have some diffuse thinning. At such a young age, I understand this can be bothersome. In your situation it may be best to consult with a board-certified and experienced hair restoration physician who can guide you towards a long term plan of hair loss prevention and potentially hair restoration. Your immediate goal should be to increase the health and quality of your existing hair while preventing further loss.

Answer: 23 year old hair loss At 23 you need a consultation with a surgeon that can plan the next 10 years of your hair loss. The aim is to stop your current rate of hair loss. You are not a surgical candidate now but may be in the future. FDA approved treatments for hair loss such as propecia and minoxidil are appropriate at this stage and review every year for the next 10 years.

Answer: Thinning Hair Photos are helpful but a complete history and examination are necessary to make an informed diagnosis. Statistically, in a male your age, the diagnosis is most likely androgenetic alopecia and, if so, there are several treatment options each with an imperfect success rate. You can try them sequentially (for at least 4 months each) or all at the same time as they work differently. I would not recommend finasteride because of its well-known side effects on libido for a small percent of users. PRP has the highest success rate. Your other options are Minoxidil (5%) or Low Level Laser Therapy. Sometimes a medication you either started or stopped can be involved.

Answer: Hair Growth For now you should discuss options such as Minoxidil, Finasteride, PRP, and even laser therapy to help prevent loss and grow hair. The doctor you saw was correct in telling you a transplant wouldn't be a good idea for you given your current stage of hair loss.
