I do understand that my nose is still very swollen and that the swelling takes months to years to go away, however i wanted to ask realistically how much of my upturned tip will drop as I feel low about myself right now

Answer: 2 weeks post-op? Septorhinoplasty Results It's still too soon to tell what your final results will be. You need to have patience with your body as it begins to heal. The skin, bone and cartilage are all traumatized during surgery. Inflammation (swelling) is the normal response and will help your nose to heal and look beautiful in the end. If, one year from now, you are unhappy with your nose, then that is the time to think about a revision procedure. Right now, concentrate on other things you like to do and let your nose and under eyes take the time to heal. I hope this helps.

Answer: Septorhinoplasty results You have to give yourself some more healing time. Your nose and surrounding areas are going to be swollen for a while and you should be consulting the surgeon that performed the procedure but give yourself some time before going back in so some of it can subside. It can take up to a year for final results.

Answer: Over rotated tip I agree with your assessment. However, as you say yourself, it takes a long time for swelling to resolve and healing to complete with any rhinoplasty. Often the tip is taped up during the first week while the nose is splinted. In most cases this is a temporary phenomenon and the tip will drop gradually with time. By 6 weeks following the surgery you should have a better idea of where your rhinoplasty result is heading but even at that time the healing process will only be 60-80% complete. Try to be patient and if you are very concerned, discuss it with your surgeon. Good luck.
