Thank you for your question and sharing your photo. The swelling should be greatly diminished within a few days. Cold compresses might hasten recovery. If you find the problem is not improving, then Hyaluronidase can be injected. This will dissolve the Juvederm. I hope you look better quickly.

It is common to get swelling after fillers into the lips. It is not normal to have irregularities or severe swelling. If you are unhappy you should speak to your physician and have the area injected with hyaluronidase, an enzyme that reverses the hyaluronic acid filler. For the next injections, consider Restylane Silk with cannula injection, this technique will limit the pain, swelling or bruising after the filler placement. The swelling normally settles after the first couple of days. You could try a cold compress which may assist with this. The amount that you have had is quite small so this should settle nicely over the next few days. If you are really unhappy with the result at two weeks you could have it dissolved

Swelling is a normal experience for most patients, it can take up to 48 hours for initial swelling to go and generally it takes 2 weeks for the swelling to completely subside. Please seek a review appointment with your injector though if this is not the case or should you still have any further concerns.

usually swelling from Juvederm in the lips lasts about 48 hours but in some may last a day or two more. You may want to try taking an anti inflammatory such as ibuprofen or Motrin. Cool compresses can help as well.

Hello. Thank you for your question. It is normal to have swelling and lumps for up to 2 weeks after filler. I would not worry about the lumps or swelling at this point. As the swelling goes down they should even out. I would recommend giving them a full 2 weeks to settle in completely. If you are still unhappy at 2 weeks, call your injector to discuss your options. You can always dissolve the filler with a product called hylauronidase if needed. Good luck!

It is normal to have swelling following Juvederm injections in the lips.  The swelling should resolve over the next 2-3 days.  Give the swelling time to resolve, and you will start to see your great results!  It is always a good idea to follow up with the provider who did your injections with any concerns as well.  

The filler injected was a great choice. I always tell my patients to not love or hate their lips for 2 weeks after dermal fillers as swelling and bruising can last this long. Ice and using arnica gel might decrease the time to full recovery.
