Will filler injected into the philtrum roll top lip up? Already have 1 mL Juvederm injected. (photos)

i see this a lot and it is due to improperly placed filler.  I suggest seeing a well trained cosmetic physician who can do a formal assessment and contour your lip apprpopriate to your face.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Many times an injector will try to create a desired outcome with as little filler as possible.  This is understandable as filler is expensive and many patients are not able to afford the amount that would give them the optimal result or the result they ideally want.  In addition, it is important for a physician to try to understand exactly what you want.The filler treatment you had placed more filler in the central upper lip and insufficient amounts on the sides and lower lip.  I don't believe additional filler in the philtrum will provide the result you want.  I also don't believe you would be happy with surgery either.  My suggestion is to have another consultation (perhaps more than one) and find an injector that will listen to you and understand what you want to achieve.If you are unhappy, you can ask your physician to "dissolve" the Juvederm by treating it with hyaluronidase.  You may also let it go away by itself (4 to 6 months).  At that point you can find a plastic surgeon more to your liking.

Your upper lip is only filled in the middle which is wrong. It needs to be filled laterally too. The lower lip was filler all the way and this is wrong. It should be filled starting from about 1/3 of the way in. Putting more in the philtrum will make problem worse not better. The ergotrid, the area above the upper lip, can be filled slightly to improve the problem. I would not consider surgery at this point. I don't think you will be happy and the results are long lasting. It might make the most sense to start over with another physician.
